Process and Development - Sketches stories and world building
This comic book is creating a fictional world inspired by local Pakistani vendors, who
become protagonists in a series of unusual and humorous adventures. Presented as
anthology of comics, which emphasises on diverse narratives and immersing viewers
in a new setting which blends ordinary with the extraordinary. The underlying aim of
the project is to challenge the stereotypes and exotic images that often shape how
South Asian and Muslim communities, especially Pakistan, are represented. By using
humour and absurd stories as a tool, I want to offers a fresh and non-exoticised lens to
seeing daily life that is both familiar and surprising.
